Bro. David came to First Southern in July 1999. He has been in church ministry for over 25 years, having previously pastored churches in Marlin, Texas and Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also completed doctoral seminars at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. David and his wife Cindy have two children, Daniel and Janie.
"I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace." (Acts 20:24)
Bro. Phil began leading our education and youth ministries when he and Sherry came to First Southern in October 2000. On March 1, 2009, Phil gave up his responsibilities in student ministry to assume an Associate Pastor's role (which includies oversight of our church facilities and Family Life Center ministries). He is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served several churches in Texas and Oklahoma since 1973. The Townleys have three children, Daniel, Rachel, and Terah.

Josh came to FSBC in 2009. A graduate of Oklahoma State University (Broadcast Journalism), Josh sensed the call of God to youth ministry on a mission trip. He is married to Stephanie (McGhee), also an OSU grad, who teaches and coaches girls' basketball at Guthrie Junior High School. Both Josh and Stephanie are native Oklahomans.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Josh. 1:9)
Christina has been a member of First Southern since 1993 and is a native Guthrian! She and her husband, Brian, have been married for over 20 years and have served FSBC in various capacities. Christina is a stay-at-home and homeschool mom with 5 children: Brittney, a student at Oklahoma University; Macey and Jeremy, both students at Guthrie High School; Emily; and Chloe.
Diana has been serving at First Southern since November 1999. She grew up in Texas and Louisiana and graduated with a degree in Religious Education from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma.
